Tamu Selera has been such an integral part of Bandar Seri Begawan’s night life, serving the local community as well as the occasional tourists. So it is such a shame to see it in the sad state that it is now.
The structures are in desperate need of an upgrade. With all the unregulated extension works that have been carried out over time, the walkways are now unsafe for visitors, and the stench from the drain, making the most palatable dish seems unappetising.
There have been numerous talks between the vendors and the authorities to revamp the market but so far, no works have been done to improve the facilities.
As such, I would like to call on the authorities to look into the matter. Further delay will only impact the vendors more as they are currently unable to operate at full capacity.
