SEOUL (ANN/THE KOREA HERALD) – Disney+ is set to debut a new original series featuring BTS members Jimin and Jungkook, offering fans a welcome distraction while the band fulfils their mandatory military service.
The eight-part series, titled “Are You Sure?!”, will stream from August and showcases the duo’s travel adventures in the United States, Jeju Island, and Sapporo, Japan.
Disney+ describes the series as a spontaneous journey, where Jimin and Jungkook engage in activities such as camping, canoeing, and road trips. Fans affectionately call the pair “Busanz,” referencing their shared hometown of Busan.
In 2017, Jimin and Jungkook travelled to Tokyo, documenting their trip in a video titled “GCF in Tokyo” on the band’s YouTube channel, Bangtantv. The video has garnered 34 million views to date.
“Are You Sure?!” represents BTS’s efforts to continue engaging with fans despite the members’ military commitments.
Jin, the first to enlist in December 2022, was discharged last month. J-Hope joined in April 2023 and is due for discharge in October. RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook enlisted in December 2023 and will be discharged in June 2025.
Suga, serving as a social service agent since September 2023, is also expected to finish in June 2025.
The first two episodes of “Are You Sure?!” will premiere on Disney+ on 8th August, with new episodes released every Thursday.
