BTS’ Jimin scores UK spot

SEOUL (ANN/THE KOREA HERALD) – Jimin of the K-pop sensation BTS has made a significant entry into the Official UK Singles Chart with his solo track “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco).” 

This song, a B-side from his forthcoming second solo album “Muse,” was released on June 28 ahead of the album’s full debut.

On the chart dated 11 July, “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” secured the No 46 position, marking Jimin’s fifth solo single to make it onto the UK chart. 

His initial solo success in the UK came with “Vibe,” a collaboration with Taeyang, which peaked at No 96 in January 2023. Following this, “Set Me Free Pt 2” reached No 30, “Like Crazy” soared to No 8, and the soundtrack for the film “Fast X,” titled “Angel Pt 1 (Feat. Jimin of BTS, JVKE & Muni Long),” landed at No 82.

“Smeraldo Garden Marching Band” is characterised by its hip-hop beats and big band elements, creating an energetic rhythm. 

In the lead-up to his album release, Jimin has also unveiled a new set of teaser images titled the “Serenade” version. These images feature a vintage aesthetic with Jimin in a marching band uniform, set against a backdrop of musical instruments including a guitar, drum, keyboard, and speakers. 

Earlier, the “Blooming” version teaser images were released, showcasing Jimin seated with a bouquet of blue flowers.

Jimin’s highly anticipated second solo album, “Muse,” is slated for a global release on 19 July, arriving a year and four months after his debut solo album, “Face.”
