Brunei Darussalam national under-20 team stepped up their preparations ahead of the upcoming Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers with a training session at their base in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
The Young Wasps are in the advanced stage of their preparations before they are scheduled to kick off against United Arab Emirates in Group ‘J’ on September 14.
The national age-group team was put through their paces as they were pictured jogging around their hotel compound and performed drills and stretching.
Their pre-match training sessions included footwork drills using ladders and also the use of foam rollers in an indoor open area.
The team arrived at the Manas International Airport in the Kyrgyzstan capital on Friday via transit in Dubai.
The team – under the guidance of head coach Haji Faizalani bin Haji Abdul Ghani – is expected to move into field training before they resume their international commitments at the Dolen Omurzakov Stadium.
Brunei will also play Iran on September 16 before concluding their campaign against hosts Kyrgyzstan two days later. The 10 group winners and the best five runners-up will advance to the finals in Uzbekistan next year.
