Brunei Darussalam recorded one COVID-19 fatality yesterday.
Meanwhile, one case is placed under Category 5 requiring treatment in the intensive care unit and one case in Category 4 requiring respiratory assistance and close monitoring.
The updates were shared by the Ministry of Health in its daily report. A total of 669 COVID-19 cases fully recovered yesterday bringing the accumulated number of recoveries to 253,908.
The overall population that has received the fourth dose of the COVID-19 vaccine is at 11.2 per cent, while the coverage rate of the Brunei population with three shots of the vaccine remained at 78.9 per cent.
A total of 62.1 per cent of adolescents aged 12 to 17 in the Sultanate have been administered with the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, while children aged five to 11 who have received two vaccine shots remained at 86.8 per cent.
