The Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (PPNBD) is attending the 10th Sharjah International Scout Gathering in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (UAE) until February 16.
The PPNBD is represented by Rover Scout from the Rover Scout 1101 group at the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) Muhammad Hadi Sharil bin Haji Mesi.
The national flag was handed over by PPNBD Chief Commissioner Haji Junaidi bin Haji Hussin to Muhammad Hadi Sharil at the departure hall of Brunei International Airport. PPNBD Deputy Chief Commissioner Mohammad Arif bin Abdul Hadi, International Commissioner Ritchie Siabu, scout commissioners and Rover Scouts were also present.
The programme is organised by the UAE Scout Association through the Sharjah Scout Mission in collaboration with the Arab Scout Organisation.
The gathering sees over 100 participants from the five scouting regions of the world: Arab, African, Asia-Pacific, European and Inter-American.
The event aims to strengthen relations and cultural exchange among Rover Scouts from various countries. – Fadhil Yunus
