Three representatives from Brunei Darussalam’s Southeast Asian Literature Council (Mastera) left the country to attend the 26th Mastera and International Seminar on Southeast Asian Literature (SAKAT) as well as Tamu Asuhan Mastera forum that began yesterday and ends on October 8 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports’ (MCYS) Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) as the Secretariat of the Sultanate’s Mastera is led by Acting Director of DBP Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab who is also Chairman of Brunei Darussalam Mastera.
Also in the delegation are two Mastera experts – Professor Ampuan Dr Haji Brahim bin Ampuan Haji Tengah and Mohammed Zefri Ariff bin Mohammed Zain Ariff from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).
The event is also attended by representatives of Mastera member states Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.
