The Brunei Darussalam Boules Sports Association announced its participation in the 19th Women’s and Junior World Championships at Bangkok Thonburi University from today to November 28.
The association sent several athletes led by head of delegation Hamidun Haji Abdul Hamid, team manager Junaidi Haji Md Said, and coach Zaharim Tawang.
The national team left yesterday and attended the flag handing ceremony officiated by association President Haji Mohamad bin Panglima Asgar Dato Paduka Haji Abdullah.
Surtini binti Haji Abidin, Mulsinah binti Haji Amran, Norhani binti Haji Juna and Siti Norhafilah binti Haji Arun will represent the country.
Brunei will participate in the two main competitions namely the Women Triples World Championship, and the Women Shooting World Championship, providing fierce competition for the top spot at global level.
The association hopes that the support and prayers from the people in the country can encourage the team in their efforts to gain success on the international stage. – Fadhil Yunus
