Thirty-three officers comprising Malaysian Chief Syar’ie Prosecutors/Directors of State Syariah Prosecution Department and Syar’ie Prosecutors on an official visit to Brunei Darussalam, participated in a meeting at the Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah on Wednesday.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim chaired the meeting comprising Brunei’s Acting Chief Syar’ie Prosecutor Hajah Hadiyati binti Haji Abdul Hadi; Director of Syariah Affairs Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gemok; and Acting Chief Religious Enforcement Officer Farizan bin Haji Judin.
Acting Chief Registrar of the Syariah Court of Appeal Pengiran Mohammaddin bin Pengiran Haji Aliakbar led the State Judiciary Department.
After the meeting, the MoRA hosted a luncheon attended by Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan.
Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Finance and Administration) of the MoRA Misle bin Haji Abdul Karim, and Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Religious) at the MoRA Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh were also present.
The deputy minister presented souvenirs to the head of the delegation and Malaysian Chief Syar’ie Prosecutor of Federal Territories Syariah Prosecution Department Abdul Razak bin Mat Nayan, and Judge of the Kuching Syariah High Court, Sarawak Mahiden bin Sah. – Azlan Othman
