Boost for Brunei-Bangladesh education, cultural ties

Bangladesh High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Nahida Rahman Shumona who recently visited Seri Mulia Sarjana International School (SMSIS) discussed the potential for further collaboration between Bangladesh and Brunei in the fields of education, culture,  and beyond.

The high commissioner was welcomed by the school’s principal Chong Wee Meng along with the student council. She engaged with the students, reading two books during the session.

The first book, Mujib, was a graphic novel depicting the life of the Father of Bangladesh Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, while the second was a book titled The White Elephant, a folklore from South Asia about compassion and empathy.

The high commissioner also gifted books to the school library and toured the school  premises. – Lyna Mohamad
