After much anticipation, the Hyundai Stargazer, Hyundai’s latest vehicle to enter into the midsize multipurpose vehicle (MPV) market has recently been made available in the Brunei market.

On the outside, the Hyundai Stargazer epitomises the company’s bold new futuristic design language.

The front of the Stargazer has similar features to the Hyundai Staria. Sharp lines on the sides and its sleek one-curve silhouette not only optimise cabin height, but also improve aerodynamics, enabling a smoother ride and better fuel efficiency.

Notable distinctive features of the exterior are its horizon type daytime running lights (DRL) and H-shaped LED rear combination lamp.

While futuristic design is still a major theme on the inside, functionality and practicality are definitely key goals for the designers. The interior has a multitude of storage compartments as well as functional cup holders which can be found almost everywhere you look. The Stargazer even features a tray table to enjoy meals on long trips or for those in the back to do some work on the road.

The Stargazer is also recognised as an MPV which has the largest wheel base in class, meaning that the Stargazer has ample space. It has a roomy interior area in the second and third rows, and thanks to its flexible configurations, of which seats when folded can fall flat, you can fit almost anything into the MPV.

Under its hood the Hyundai Stargazer is powered by a 1.5L Smartstream engine and an eight-speed intelligent variable transmission (IVT) system, which results in tough, responsive and efficient performance. The drive mode feature allows the driver to select the best driving style. IVT is one of the brand’s flagship proprietary technologies that is configured to shift gears more responsively with less delay or lag, resulting in a smoother and more enjoyable ride while having better fuel efficiency.

The car is equipped with Hyundai SmartSense which consists of a forward collision avoidance system, lane following assist, high beam assist, lane keeping assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision assist, rear view monitor and a six-airbag system. The system is specifically designed to provide more safety and peace of mind. Some examples include the vehicle braking to avoid collisions. SmartSense systems constantly monitor the environment to protect from potential hazards while driving.

Overall, the Hyundai Stargazer is a versatile MPV catering to families and individuals seeking a spacious, practical, and safe vehicle. Its combination of functionality, futuristic design, and advanced safety features make it an ideal choice for those who prioritise comfort, convenience, and peace of mind on their journeys.

With its ample interior space and flexible seat configurations, the Stargazer offers a roomy cabin that can accommodate passengers and cargo comfortably, making it ideal for families with children or individuals requiring extra storage for their belongings. In addition, its safety features make it an excellent choice for safety-conscious buyers.

Furthermore, the Stargazer’s sleek design, sharp lines, and futuristic aesthetic make it visually appealing, attracting those who appreciate modern and bold styling. In terms of performance, the Stargazer offers a smooth and enjoyable ride, along with the improved fuel efficiency, which makes the vehicle an attractive option for those who value a balance between performance and economy.

The Stargazer was launched in two different specs, high spec and premium spec. During the recent launch, it was shared that the biggest difference between the two specifications is that the high spec has a seven-seater configuration while the premium has a six-seater configuration.
