Thirty-four pints of blood were collected from a blood donation drive organised by Tricor (B) Sdn Bhd at Wisma Jaya in Bandar Seri Begawan on Thursday.
The campaign, organised with the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital Blood Donation Centre, is an annual event carried out by the company as its corporate social responsibility. It was the seventh campaign that the company has organised to date.
Themed, ‘Give the Gift of Life Donate Blood’, the blood donation drive is crucial particularly during this COVID-19 Endemic Phase to ensure blood stocks are sufficient to meet demands.
The blood was collected from regular donors as well as several first timers. The company gave free face masks, food vouchers and mandarin oranges as appreciation for the donor’s participation.
