SEOUL (ANN/THE KOREA HERALD) – Blackpink announced on Thursday an autograph session on 8th August to celebrate the eighth anniversary of their debut. The supergroup will invite 88 fans selected through a lucky draw.
This event marks the first full-group activity since the four members were awarded honorary medals by King Charles in November last year.
Following the award, they renewed their contract with YG Entertainment for group activities but pursued individual careers elsewhere. Rosé signed with The Black Label, while the other members established their own agencies.
In other news, Jisoo’s single album “ME” has surpassed 1 billion streams on YouTube Music. This debut single is the first album by a K-pop female solo singer to achieve this milestone on the platform.
Released in March last year, it also became the first album by a K-pop female solo artist to sell over a million copies in its first week.
