I would like to applaud the authorities for taking the initiative to trim trees along the roads to improve road safety.
However, I believe more needs to be done to reach their objective, as high-traffic roads are notoriously prone to potholes and erosion, making accidents more likely, especially among motorists who suffer lapses of attention.
I’m not an engineer, so I can’t explain why some roads that have recently been resurfaced now look as though no repair works have ever taken place. Is it due to certain portions of the country not being suitable for road infrastructure? Or are the recent storms the main culprits?
Nonetheless, I do hope the authorities will regularly keep tabs on these roads to make sure they don’t deteriorate too quickly, thus creating a hazardous condition for motorists.
