Seventeen teams of three raced across the beachfront at the Silver Jubilee Park during the Kuala Belait Beach Relay Race yesterday.
Team FBSS 1 came in first place, followed by Team LPRT, Team FBSS 3, Team RBS and Team Nasi Katok Adobo. The race was organised by the Kuala Belait Village Consultative Council in collaboration with the Belait District Office, Aorace Timing System, KB runners and PositiveSports Bn.
The race saw runners take turns in a relay along a 1.8-kilometre loop at the Belait Beachfront.
The competitive atmosphere was made lively by friends and families cheering on the participants.
Penghulu of Mukim Kuala Belait Haji Abdul Afiq bin Zainuddin presented prizes to the top five teams.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Ali bin Haji Hamran to Mohd Abdul Azim @ Mohd Nordy Hafizi bin Haji Sijim was awarded as the fastest male runner and Noor Hanisah binti Haji Abdul Ghani was awarded as the fastest female runner. – Daniel Lim
