Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) donated information technology (IT) equipment to Kolej International Graduates Studies (KIGS) and Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) recently as part of its IT Lifecycle Management initiative.
The final batch of the donation to KIGS took place on January 27 at the college and was received by the KIGS Chief Executive Officer Dr Haji Azaharaini bin Haji Mohd Jamil.
Meanwhile, a ceremony to mark the final batch of donation to UTB’s CISCO Academy Lab was held yesterday at the university.
A total of 122 IT equipment were donated in batches from last December until yesterday.
Yesterday’s event witnessed BIBD Deputy Chief Information Officer Yusof Fadli bin Haji Sidek handing over the donation items to UTB Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Industry and Services) Dr Mohammad Saiful bin Haji Omar.
“As the IT team underwent significant network appliances upgrade and replacements in 2021, there were a significant number of equipment that were replaced. While the damaged appliances were destroyed, equipment that remained functional and usable were given away to educational institutions.”
