A Teacher’s Day celebration was held to appreciate the services of religious school teachers (Zone 1), by their leadership committee (JPSSU) at Mid Valley Shopping Centre in Kampong Salambigar recently.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Kesyukuran, followed by a performance from the female teachers of Brunei Zone 1 religious school and the presentation of souvenirs to retired teachers and those who have contributed to religious school activities, by Islamic Studies Officer for Brunei Zone 1 for Religious School Division of the Department of Islamic Studies at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Hajah Siti Halimatul Saadiah binti Haji Wahsalfelah.
The ceremony aimed to strengthen ties among teachers who have taken up the responsibility of educating younger generation in a bid to achieve the nation’s aspirations. – Azlan Othman
