Another player tests positive for COVID-19

A member of the Brunei Darussalam under-23 national team, who is currently in Phnom Penh, Cambodia for the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Under-23 Championship has tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) yesterday.

With the latest case, it brings the total number to three active cases. The national football governing body also updated on the situation of the current active cases, whereby they were not showing any symptoms and in stable condition. The FABD in a statement also added that all other players and officials have come back negative through the routine antigen rapid test (ART) screening.

It further added that the situation is currently under control with the strong support of the organiser, team doctor as well as the Bruneian Embassy in Cambodia.

The team is also in a bubble where movements are only restricted to their designated hotel floor, designated dining hall, training venues and stadium.
