Follow the example of the companions of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and trust in Allah the Almighty in times of difficulty, said accredited preacher from the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) Mohd Khairul Mu’az bin Haji Sibodaud in a religious talk during Saturday’s Munajat night.
When tested by Allah the Almighty with difficulties, the companions of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) persevered, said Mohd Khairul Mu’az in his talk ‘Lessons from the Companions of the Prophet’ delivered online from the Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque in Kampong Serusop.
He called on the Ummah to follow in the example of the companions and follow in their steps so that their prayers will be answered.
The 23rd Munajat night, organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, saw the participation of the workforce of the Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) who were joined by conregants from 47 mosques nationwide.
It began with the recitation of Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah.
It was followed by the reading of Surah Yaasiin led by Brunei Investment Agency Officer at the MoFE Pengiran Muhammad Adibul Amin bin Pengiran Haji Marjuki.
Doa Munajat was read by MUIB member Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Metussin bin Haji Baki virtually from the Omar `Ali Saifuddien mosque in Bandar Seri Begawan.
Munajat night continued with the recitation of Asmaa Ul-Husna and Selawat by the Acting Deputy Superintendent of Customs at the Royal Customs and Excise Department virtually from Surau of the MoFE.
The event ended with the reading of Doa Peliharakan Sultan and Negara Brunei Darussalam by Temburong Mosque Affairs Officer Elde bin Haji Suhaile from Labu Estate Mosque.
Also in attendance were Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud,, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, and Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Economy) Dato Seri Paduka Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin.
