Some 25,000 people comprising students and civil servants are set to participate in the 40th National Day Celebration on February 24 at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.
His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Paduka Seri Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam have consented to attend the Grand Assembly of Brunei Darussalam’s 40th National Day Anniversary Celebration, which will start at 9am.
This was shared during a media conference at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) on Monday.
It was also shared that His Majesty has consented to attend the main ceremonies of the nation’s 40th National Day celebration including Doa Kesyukuran ceremony, mass Maghrib prayer, recitation of Surah Yaasiin and a cycling event.
The press conference also highlighted several information regarding preparations that have been made for the nationwide event, such as parking, ticketing and participants’ welfare among others.
