The collection of basic necessities for asnaf converts under the Fathul Barakah 6.0 project for the Brunei-Muara District continued on the second day at the Darul Huda Building of the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) in Kampong Pulaie yesterday.
The initiative, implemented by the Ministry of Religious Affairs through the PDI in collaboration with the Brunei Darussalam New Converts Association, is a charity project aimed at the well-being of converts in the country.
It serves as a platform for the public to give alms in the form of basic food necessities to asnaf converts in preparation of the upcoming fasting month of Ramadhan and to gain double rewards from Allah the Almighty as well as to strengthen ties between the Brunei Darussalam New Converts Association and PDI.
The donation collection for the other districts will continue today and tomorrow from 8.30am to 4pm at the Tutong District Da’wah Unit Office, Belait District Da’wah Unit Office and Temburong District Da’wah Unit Office.
Among the basic food donations received were rice, cooking oil, biscuits, flour, sugar, canned food, dried shrimp or pusu, onions, salt, tea or coffee, noodles, butter and mineral water. – Lyna Mohamad
