ANN/THE STRAITS TIMES – Singapore authorities arrested some 95 women and a man for allegedly offering sexual services in a raid on a KTV lounge on Friday.
Criminal Investigation Department and Immigration and Checkpoints Authority officers around Orchard Road conducted the raid.
The women were aged between 18 and 45, while the man was 20 years old.
A 31-year-old man was also arrested for pimping.
Those found guilty of involvement in the management of a place offering sexual services face jail time of up to five years, a fine of up to SGD100,000, or both.
Those who live off the earnings from prostitutes can be jailed up to seven years and fined up to SGD100,000.
