Muhammad Zulhaffiz Zarriq bin Haji Ranee won the open category of the Lumut Criterium Race 2024 on Sunday.
In second and third places were Luqman bin Hadzid and Muhammad Azwar bin Muhammad Hairolrani.
Azlan Ahmat won the veteran category while Volker Dieckmann was runner-up.
Dzul Husni won the master category with Reduan Yusof in second place. Muhammad Azwar won the special award for having the fastest lap of the competition. The competition saw 51 cyclists competing in 15 laps of three kilometres (km) totalling 45km. It was organised by Pekan Kuala Belait Village Consultative Council and RPN Kampong Lumut Village Consultative Council in collaboration with Belait Cycling Club and AQRace Timing.
YMRM Group Managing Director Hitesh R Bhawnani, the guest of honour, presented prizes and trophies.
Acting Village Head of Kampong Pekan Kuala Belait ‘B’ and competition organising committee member Mohammad Sufrizal bin Haji Hamdan was also present. – Daniel Lim & Adib Noor
