YMRM Group of Companies presented donations to orphans and special needs individuals in collaboration with Kampong Jerudong ‘A’ and Jerudong ‘B’ village consultative councils and the Warisan Kedayan Jerudong Association yesterday.
The ceremony, held at the Sengkurong Community Hall, saw Indian High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Alok Amitabh Dimri and YMRM Group of Companies Chairman and founder Ramesh Jiwatram Bhawnani in presenting donations to male recipients.
Meanwhile, YMRM Group Managing Director Hitesh Bhawnani and the spouse of Ramesh Jiwatram Bhawnani presented donations to the female recipients. Some 500 orphans from Kampong Jerudong ‘A’, Kampong Jerudong ‘B’, Kampong Sengkurong ‘A’, Kampong Sengkurong B, Kampong Tagap, Kampong Kulapis,
Kampong Tanjong Nangka, Kampong Mulaut, Kampong Katimahar and Kampong Lugu as well as students from Society for the Management of Autism Related issues in Training, Education and Resources (SMARTER) Brunei Kuala Belait branch and Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam in Kampong Bengkurong, received donations from YMRM Group of Companies. The ceremony began with recitation of Tahlil and Doa Arwah followed by sungkai with all the recipients and their families. – Lyna Mohamad
