Three hundred and fifty-one new members of the Girl Guides Association of Brunei Darussalam (PPPBD) received their Tenderfoot badges during a ceremony at Lambak Kanan Jalan 49 Primary School yesterday.
From the total, 15 were adult leaders, 83 young leaders, 25 ranger girl guides, 209 girl guides and 19 brownies.
Lifetime Vice-Presidents of the PPPBD Datin Paduka Hajah Zaharah binti Haji Idris and Datin Hajah Masni binti Haji Mohd Ali presented the badges.
The ceremony also saw a presentation of certificates of participation, badges and pins to representatives who participated in the beach cleaning campaign under the ’GirlGuides_CareSDGs’ on August 13 presented by the association’s deputy chief commissioner Hajah Viviyanti binti Haji Md Ali. – Rokiah Mahmud
