Heads of family attending the ceremony received cash envelopes of Zakat distributions received by MKM. MKM also donated 50 prayer mats and prayer books to the mosque.
MKM’s Vice President 3 and Head of Youth Wing Abang Masrur bin Abang Zainuddin said the ceremony aimed to celebrate Ramadhan and cultivate the habit of reading Al-Quran.
MKM recently distributed more than 13,000 food packs over 17 days to the needy in Brunei.
They are also distributing 1,000 foodpacks each day of Ramadhan to Rohingyan refugees and Bangladeshi homeless in Cox Bazar, Bangladesh, and will be breaking fast with the needy and orphans of Kampong Menunggol today. MKM wholly depends on donations to run its charity programmes.
