Thirty micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) participated in the 12th edition of Baiduri MSME Empowerment Series at the Baiduri Enterprise Hub in Serusop yesterday.

The event, organised by Baiduri Bank in partnership with the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB) through Darussalam Enterprise (DARe), featured a workshop titled ‘Strategy Building for Business Leaders’ and a business clinic.

It was aimed at demystifying strategic concepts and offering a pragmatic approach to their application in business.

Head of Business Banking at Baiduri Bank Mohd Isa Liew bin Mohd Amin Liew emphasised the importance of the initiative.

He said, “Empowering MSMEs transcends mere support; it’s about collaboratively crafting enduring strategies. We are committed to converting challenges into opportunities, offering essential advice to navigate the complexities of business expansion.”

The workshop led by founder and managing partner of SAGE Kevin Legg, included a preparatory curriculum, an interactive workshop, and a business clinic, providing participants with one-to-one consultations with experts to discuss individual business challenges and develop solutions.

The series is a key component of Baiduri Bank’s corporate social responsibility efforts to empower local MSMEs to thrive amid changing market conditions by deepening their entrepreneurial skills and strategic insights, said the bank in a statement.
