The inaugural GoStrike bowling tournament concluded on October 13 at the GoStrike Bowling Centre in Seria.

Team JO from Joffren Omar Sdn Bhd and Massutera Sdn Bhd emerged as the champions, followed by Team JSS KB from the Department of Schools as the first runner-up and Team BSP Bowlbarian from Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd as the second runner-up.

The winning teams were rewarded with trophies, medals and cash prizes. Individual awards were also given to the top male and female scorers in each game.

GoStrike Marketing Director Nazdeny Ardian bin Haji Johan presented the prizes.

The tournament attracted 26 teams from various organisations in Brunei. The inter-organisational tournament served as a platform for individuals to engage in a healthy and competitive sport while promoting camaraderie and teamwork. It is hoped that such events will continue to encourage more participation in bowling activities within the Sultanate.

Prior to the tournament, GoStrike organised a bowling clinic on October 11 and 12, featuring coach Isaac Russell Paul from Malaysia.

Participants had the opportunity to learn from Paul’s expertise, covering bowling theories, techniques and physical bowling instructions.

The clinic aimed to enhance bowlers’ skills and consistency, enabling them to compete at a higher level, and potentially represent Brunei Darussalam in future tournaments overseas.
