A total of 128 excellent students and 43 teachers received certificates of appreciation at a ceremony held at International Convention Centre.
The ceremony is held to celebrate students who’ve excelled in public examination last year.
Present as the chief guest was the Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman.
Also in attendance were the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry Awang Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, Deputy Permanent Secretary Awang Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang.
Among the recipients was the granddaughter of His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Pengiran Qaiyimah Nurul Bolkiah binti Pengiran Haji Mohd Hakimmuddin.
The ceremony was held as a sign of gratefulness to Allah the almighty and a recognition and incentive to the students for their outstanding achievement as well to motivate the students to step up efforts academically.
