Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College (MDPMAMB) hosted its annual Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at its premises yesterday, marking a significant event in the college’s religious calendar.
This year’s event which saw 114 students participate, commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Acting Director of the Zakat, Waqaf and Baitulmal Management Department at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dr Haji Amiruddin bin Pengiran Haji Damit, the guest of honour, followed by the recitation of Surah Ad-Dhuha through to Surah An-Nas by the participating students. The ceremony continued with the recitation of Takhtim, led by female hostel participants, followed by a Doa recited by Ahmad Danial bin Rushdi.
A mass recitation of Dikir Marhaban, led by male hostel students, filled the auditorium with spiritual energy, while guests sprinkled scented flowers on the participants.
The guest of honour was presented with a token of appreciation before a Doa Kesyukuran was recited by Haji Md Ali Shafiee bin Haji Japar.
