A total of 95 youth trainees from the 2024 Youth Development Programme completed a nine-month training at Youth Development Centre (PPB). The trainees, comprising 54 males and 41 females, celebrated their achievements during a pre-graduation ceremony with a passing out parade.
The trainees will enter a three-month job placement programme in government and private sectors.
Permanent Secretary (Youth) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Haji Zakaria bin Haji Serudin presented awards to the trainees.
The categories included Best in Skills Training, along with awards for discipline, sports, religious studies, hostel conduct and personal development. The Overall Best Trainee award was given to one male and one female trainee.
Four instructors from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces were also recognised for their coaching contributions.
The event included demonstrations such as a march-past parade, foot drills, fitness routines and a body combat display. – Fadley Faisal
