The Youth Transformation Community Club (KKBT) under the Youth Centre continued its Brunei Berselawat Programme with a virtual Selawat and Doa Munajat on Monday.
The event, co-organised with Mawlid Az-Zahraa and Ad-Dhiyaul Lami’ As-Syarif groups, saw over 65 participants including those from Malaysian states Selangor and Sarawak.
Permanent Secretary (Youth) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) Haji Zakaria bin Haji Serudin, former Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin and representatives from mukims, villages and youth groups were present.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Head of KKBT Religious Bureau Mohammad Adi Hamdi bin Haji Aminuddin. It was followed by recitation of verses from Al-Quran.
The event also saw the recitation of Selawat Ibrahimiyah, led by Firdaus bin Mohammed Salleh from Ad-Dhyiyaul Lami’ As-Syarif.
The Selawat Jibril was also recited 100 times and Selawat Nuril Mubin 30 times, led by Awangku Afiq Hanif bin Pengiran Muhammad Hadzarin from Mawlid Az-Zahraa. The event concluded with a Doa Munajat.
The Brunei Berselawat Programme continues with a Ratib Al-Attas recitation today at 8.30pm.
