The Information Department held nationhood briefings for Year 7 students in two secondary schools last week. On January 5, 123 students at Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien College attended the briefing on ‘Our Monarch, Appreciating the National Flag and National Anthem of Brunei Darussalam’.
On January 7, another 142 students from Raja Isteri Girls High School attended the briefing.
The briefings aimed at strengthening the spirit of national solidarity and patriotism among the students, touched on the monarch, methods of flag hoisting, and the background and history of the national anthem, Allah Peliharakan Sultan.
Students also had the opportunity to view a video clip on hoisting of the national flag and participated in a nationhood quiz.
