Local and overseas artists and literary enthusiasts met recently via video conference to discuss the works of writers featured in the Bahana magazine, a publication from the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP).
The Baca Bahana meeting, organised by the DBP Literature and Magazine Division in collaboration with the Putra Seni Group was held via Zoom and streamed on the DBP’s social media.
The magazine features works from local artists and writers, as well as contributors from abroad, including Malaysia and Indonesia.
The meeting featured the theme ‘Wira Negara’, inspired by the 63rd anniversary of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
The theme was chosen as a gesture of appreciation and recognition for the national heroes. During the session, poets presented works from Bahana magazine, reflecting the observations and emotional impulses of local writers. These works capture the struggles, sacrifices, loyalty and love for the nation. – Rokiah Mahmud
