A video purporting to show a group of construction workers striking at the RPN Kampong Lugu housing project is fake, said the Housing Development Department.
The viral video claimed that the workers were striking due to payment delayed for three months. The department said that based on their findings there was no such delay of payment to the workers.
The department said it ensured payments to contractor are paid on time in alignment with the project development to ensure the smooth completion of the project.
The department called on the public to stop disseminating the video.
