Visitors on board MS Riviera which arrived in the Sultanate on March 13, praised the Sultanate’s hospitality and rich history.
They were also eager to return and explore more of Brunei’s unique attractions.
Ben Morel from Belgium enjoyed the country’s clean and welcoming atmosphere while touring the mosques and making a quick stop at Istana Nurul Iman.
Shelly Gong from Austin, Texas, United States (US) was impressed by Brunei Darussalam’s cultural richness as she visited Kampong Ayer.
Arlene Mirer from Phoenix, Arizona, US, was enchanted by Istana Nurul Iman and expressed interest in visiting the Sultanate again.
This is the second visit to Brunei this year for the cruise ship.
The 1,213 guests aboard MS Riviera visited the Royal Regalia Museum, Jame ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque, Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque and Istana Nurul Iman.
They also enjoyed a cruise around the iconic Kampong Ayer.
The guided tours provided an enriching experience, allowing the visitors to immerse themselves in the nation’s history, culture and natural beauty.
Before embarking on their next journey, the visitors explored a range of authentic local souvenirs offered by selected Village Consultative Councils (MPK) and other local businesses at the Cruise Ship Centre.
This not only provides travellers treasures of Brunei Darussalam but also highlights the craftsmanship and cultural heritage of local artisans.
MS Riviera arrived in the Sultanate from Singapore and continued its voyage to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia.
As the sixth cruise ship to visit Brunei Darussalam since January 2025, its stop highlights the growing recognition of Brunei as a desirable port of call.
The Tourism Development Department said it remains committed to strengthening Brunei Darussalam’s position in the cruise tourism sector.
