Rokiah Mahmud

The Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organisation for Vocational and Technical Education and Training (SEAMEO VOCTECH) Regional Centre concluded its online in-country training programme on ‘Applying Learner-Centered Teaching-Learning Methodologies’ for 33 technical personnel from Cambodia on Wednesday.

The programme was created to enlighten the participants on the implementation of student-centred teaching-learning methodologies in both technical and vocational education and training (TVET) and non TVET.

Participants were taught to plan, deliver and evaluate lessons effectively.

The Cambodian participants from various specialisations preserved the practices of learner-centred methodologies and prepare them in determining steps and action to adopt student-centred orientation.

SEAMEO VOCTECH Centre Director, Alias bin Haji Abu Bakar and Under Secretary of State, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports Cambodia Kol Pheng Vadhana were present.

The centre’s director encouraged participants to incorporate their knowledge in classroom practise and to be more future-ready in the world of teaching and learning.
