I recently attended two seminars where foreign speakers were invited to speak virtually before hundreds of eager participants. Unfortunately, the WiFi service was too poor to keep the talks uninterrupted.
I felt embarrassed for the organiser as these seminars were also attended by some of the most prominent figures in the country. Thankfully, the organising team saved the day by diverting our attention to other topics, or the day would have been a disaster.
My question is why poor connectivity is still a common issue in the country. We are heading towards Brunei Vision 2035, which is a mere 11 years away. How are we to keep up with the rest of the world if we are still struggling with basic Internet technology?
