The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) continued its virtual Munajat night for the 35th
on Saturday.
Organised by the MoRA, it also saw the participation of the Ministry of Energy; the Safety, Health and Environment National Authority (SHENA), and the Department of Electrical Services.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman and Minister of Energy Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mat Suny bin Haji Mohd Hussein attended.
Representatives from Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd, Brunei Shell Marketing Company Sdn Bhd, Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd, Brunei Fertilizer Industries Sdn Bhd, Brunei Gas Carriers Sdn Bhd, Brunei Methanol Company Sdn Bhd, Hengyi Industries Sdn Bhd, Petronas Carigali Brunei Ltd, Shell EP Brunei and Total Energies Brunei were also present.
Other participants included the Muslim converts class of Kampong Batang Mitus and congregants from 91 mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide.
Deputy Minister of Energy Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw led the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah virtually from Kampong Perpindahan Mata-Mata Mosque in Gadong.
Meanwhile, the recitation of Surah Yaasiin was led by Director of Islamic Legal Unit at the MoRA Haji Hardifadhillah bin Haji Mohd Salleh, officers and staff of Islamic Legal Unit, and mosque congregants of Perdana Wangsa Haji Mohammad Mosque in Kampong Setia.
Doa Munajat seeking forgiveness from Allah the Almighty against calamity and diseases was read by Syariah Subordinate Court Judge at the State Judiciary Pengiran Haji Shahril Azman bin Pengiran Haji Metusin.
A religious talk titled ‘Syawal Penuh Taqwa’ was delivered by an accredited religious preacher from Ash-Shaliheen Mosque while the recitation of Selawat Ibrahimiyyah was led by Syababur Roja Mosque youth from Jame’ `Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampong Kiarong.
The gathering ended with Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam by Mosque Affairs Officer from Kampong Keriam Mosque Mohammad Fauzi bin Haji Anuar.
