Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), through the Faculty of Islamic Development Management (FPPI) held a discussion on ‘Constructive Alignment of Islamic History and Civilisation and Development Management Curriculum with The Future Job Market from Negara Zikir Perspective’ recently to promote the concept of a Zikir Nation.

The discussion aimed to ensure coherence and effectiveness in designing a curriculum by coordinating learning outcomes, assessment methods and teaching strategies aligned with the concept.

The briefing delivered by two external assessors, Professor Dr Berghout Abdelaziz from the International Islamic University of Malaysia (UIAM) and Associate Professor Dr Shahril Ahmad Razimi from the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB), was attended by FPPI academic staff.

It continued with a discussion between the evaluators and academic staff.

The discussion touched on how to improve the key performance index (KPI) of the faculty by ensuring that every graduate will get a relevant job after completing their studies and be able to apply every knowledge learnt to their field of work.

Among the efforts and recommendations to increase the marketability of graduates’ work were to conduct courses related to the diversity of teaching and learning methods and to extend the period of industrial training of students as one of the methods of learning based on experience.
