Two families received financial aid from the government after their homes were lost due to disasters.
Acting Permanent Secretary (Community) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Dr Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah handed over the financial aid to representatives of the affected families.
According to the Community Development Department, one of the recipients, Noor Rafiah binti Zainal’s house in Kampong Sungai Lalit was found to be unsafe for habitation following a landslide on August 21, 2022.
Meanwhile, Abdul Ghafor bin Abdul Rahman’s house in Kampong Pengiran Tajuddin Hitam collapsed on February 25.
