Youth from the Tutong District are attending an information literacy programme at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The two-day programme, which began yesterday was organised by the Information Department to provide youth on new policies and information that will aid them in their development, said the Information Department Tutong District Branch Head Muhammad Khairulhadi bin Haji Muhammad Muhtaddir.
During the programme, the youth received a briefing on ‘National Youth Policy and Strategy 2020-2035’.
They also heard a briefing on the development of the volunteer movement in the country, which also touched on volunteerism and how it strengthens community while providing useful experience and knowledge.
A representative from the Department of Adat Istiadat Negara also delievered a briefing on Terasul and court language.
Programme participants also visited the Islamic Da’wah Centre and received a briefing on Islam in the national context. – Azlan Othman
