The Tutong District Youth Information Literacy Programme concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony recently.
Senior Information Officer Haji Fathi Foad bin Dato Seri Setia Haji Abu Bakar presented certificates to the participants comprising 33 youth from Mukim Telisai.
The programme, organised with the Islamic Da’wah Centre, touched on Islam in the context of Brunei Darussalam and based on Aqidah Ahli Sunnah Waljama’ah.
The programme included a visit to Pusat Bahagia in Kampong Pulaie where participants learnt sign language and engaged in several activities. Royal Brunei Police Force’s Crime Department personnel delivered a briefing on ‘Fake News, Cyber Crime and Scammers’ . The Information Literacy Programme is an initiative by the Information Department using the whole-of-government and whole-of-nation approaches to produce visionary youth with a strong sense of identity and have noble values such as love of religion, race and nation fostering a sense of responsibility towards achieving Brunei Vision 2035. – Azlan Othman
