The Law Enforcement Division of the Labour Department uncovered several violations during an operation at a cafe in Mukim Kilanas recently.
Inspections were conducted on eight foreign nationals, and three were detained and taken to the Labour Department.
One foreign national was suspected of committing an offence under Regulation 9(4), Chapter 17 of the Immigration Regulations of working using a visitor’s pass.
Two others were suspected of committing an offence under Section 55 (4)(a)(b)(c), Chapter 17 of the Immigration Act of failing to produce valid travel documents. – Adib Noor
