Three local suspects – two men and a woman aged 39 to 61 – were detained by Tutong police early Sunday morning for alleged housebreaking in Kampong Keriam.
According to the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), police patrol was alerted by a member of the Kampong Keriam neighbourhood watch, and found a suspicious vehicle at the site.
The initial investigation found suspicious items believed to be stolen goods.
All suspects are believed to have carried out break-ins to houses without any occupants.
They were brought back to the Tutong Police Station for further investigation.
The RBPF, with cooperation from neighbourhood watch members will continue to patrol the district to maintain security and the well-being of each village. – James Kon
