Ten students from local universities received scholarships from the Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development programme, announced the High Commission of Canada in Brunei Darussalam.
“More than 400 applications were received this year from students across ASEAN. Of these, 146 were offered scholarships including the 10 students pursuing studies in Brunei,” said High Commissioner of Canada to Brunei Darussalam Ambra Dickiee.
The high commissioner said this is a testament to the strong education system and talented students in the Sultanate. She congratulated the students, adding that she hopes “they use this opportunity to take advantage of Canada’s world-class educational system to apply themselves to their degrees, and that they also find time to explore the diverse opportunities available”.
