A full dress rehearsal was conducted on Monday in the Temburong District in preparation for the get-together ceremony with His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in conjunction with the monarch’s 78th birthday.
Present to witness the full rehearsal were the Minister of Home Affairs, Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman; Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence, Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof; the Minister of Health, Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar; and the Minister of Education, Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, who are also Co-Chairs of the National Committee for the Celebration of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s 78th Birthday for 2024.
The annual gathering with the people and residents in Temburong District will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the field area of the Community Hall Complex, Pekan Bangar. – ADIB NOOR
