Unified National Networks Sdn Bhd’s (UNN) efforts to enhance connectivity and user experience helped Brunei Darussalam achieve the top OOKLA ranking in ASEAN and 15th globally for mobile services, as well as 71st globally for fixed services in July.
Following reviews by a panel of judges comprising Price Waterhouse Coopers, KPMG, Deloitte Southeast Asia, EV Asia-Pacific and RSM Hong Kong on entries from the Asia Pacific region, UNN was awarded the Asian Technology Excellence Award 2024 in the Network and Broadband – Telecommunications category on September 5.
UNN submitted a white paper in May highlighting achievements involving the implementation of technology powered by renewable energy to connect rural communities as well as the development of a rural outreach programme to promote digital and social inclusivity as part of its Corporate ESG initiatives. – James Kon
