Team T-Box 1, comprising the Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Deputy Minister (Security and Law) at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Paduka Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu, Singapore’ High Commissioner to Brunei Darussalam Laurence Bay Siow Hon, and Counsellor of the Singapore High Commission Sunny Yun, emerged as champions of the annual Chinese New Year Singa Golf held at the Pantai Menteri Golf Club.
The team scored a total of 146 gross in the 9-hole golf game. The Minister of Transport and Infocommunications’ spouse, Datin Hajah Mahayon binti Haji Mohd Taha, presented the prize to the winning team.
Meanwhile, second place went to Team T-Box 2, with a score of 153 gross, and Team T-Box 5 claimed third place with 161 gross.
The individual best gross award went to Colonel (Rtd) Zahrin Zunaidi, who scored 38 gross. Lim Han Chiong won the nearest-to-the-pin prize for hole 7, while Lim Ting Hui took the nearest-to-the-pin prize for hole 9. Prizes were presented by the minister. – James Kon
