The Employee Trust Fund (TAP) is participating in the 41st ASEAN Social Security Association (ASSA) Board Meeting held in Manila, Philippines from November 25 until today. The meeting’s theme is ‘Navigating the Future of Social Security: Integration, Innovation, and Inclusion’.
Brunei’s Ambassador to the Philippines Megawati binti Dato Paduka Haji Manan, TAP Managing Director Haji Md Adfarul bin Haji Maz Adanan and TAP officers attended the meeting, hosted by the Government Service Insurance System of the Philippines.
The meeting includes seminar sessions and discussions on best practices in social protection.
TAP shared insights on the ‘Introduction of Administrator Nomination Feature under the National Retirement Scheme (SPK)’, which allows SPK members to designate a nominee to manage their savings after their passing.
During a meeting chaired by the chief executive officer (CEO) of Malaysia’s Employees Provident Fund (EPF) Ahmad Zulqarnain Onn, ASSA recognised the achievements of its members.
TAP was honoured with the Continuous Improvement Recognition Award for the ‘Introduction of Administrator Nomination Feature’ project.
The award was presented to Haji Md Adfarul by EPF CEO as ASSA 2023/2024 Chair.
Brunei Darussalam is set to host the 42nd ASSA Board Meeting next year. – Fadhil Yunus
